Description
This building is a stable and hayloft located to the northeast of Bembridge Farmhouse, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed from Isle of Wight stone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and a half-hipped roof made of corrugated asbestos. The structure is one storey high with a former attic hayloft. The gable end includes a loading door with a wooden pegged surround. The front side has two stable doors with triangular heads and small square windows. Inside, there are wooden mangers and vertical plank partitioning, along with a staggered purlin roof. At the time of the survey, the floor of the hayloft had been removed, but a tie beam was still present.
