Description
Longlands Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and mid-20th centuries. It is constructed from Isle of Wight stone rubble, featuring red brick dressings, a half-hipped thatched roof, and a central brick chimney stack. The cottage has one storey and attics, with three windows. There are three 20th-century wooden top-opening casements, but the left side ground floor window retains a late 17th-century stone window surround with a drip mould and two mullions. A built-out doorcase is located on the left-hand side, and there is a brick chimney stack at the rear. Inside, the cottage features a chamfered spine beam.
