Description
This is a mid to late 19th-century bank barn located approximately 25 metres south of North Creedy Farmhouse. It is constructed of mortared rubble with brick dressings and features a slate roof. The barn is built over a shippon and cart shed, facing southeast and terraced into the hillside.
The barn has opposing doors leading to the threshing floor, with the rear door at ground level and the front door positioned over the shippon. The southeast front features a large central barn door with an elliptical brick arch above it, and to the left, there is a smaller loading bay. The shippon includes two archways, each with a ventilator to the right, and all openings have elliptical brick arches. The roof is hipped at both ends.
On the right end, there is a basement that serves as a cart shed, which has an archway entrance in the right end wall. Above this entrance, there is a circular owl hole located near the eaves. The barn also boasts a six-bay king post truss roof.
