Description
The Parsonage is a parsonage built around 1800 to 1810. It features a pebble dash exterior on a rubble base, with rubble or brick stacks topped by early 19th-century brick chimney shafts, and has slate roofs. The building is L-shaped, with the main block facing north-east towards the church. Inside, there are four rooms in the main block, with two rooms on either side of a central stair and entrance hall, and axial stacks between each pair of rooms. A rear service block is located behind the right end of the main block.
This two-storey building is designed in a Georgian style and has a symmetrical five-window front. The central three-window section is slightly projected forward from the main block. The windows are 16-pane sashes, although the left end window on the ground floor and both right end windows are blocked. The front door is an eight-panel design with a semi-circular fanlight featuring radial glazing bars, panelled reveals, and a stucco architrave that is interrupted by rusticated blocks and a coadestone keystone with a bas-relief head. The building has deep eaves and a low-pitched roof that is hipped at each end. The right end wall has two windows, which are 16-pane sashes above casements with glazing bars. The rear elevation features main casements with glazing bars, and some original joinery and plasterwork can be found inside.
