Description
The Old Manse is a house dating to circa 1840. It is constructed of plastered rubble, with rubble stacks featuring brick chimney shafts and a slate roof. The house is gable-fronted, facing north-west, and originally comprised two rooms arranged around a central stair plan, with each room having a rear lateral stack. The front has a three-window arrangement of 16-pane sash windows. A central entrance features a 6-panel door with an overlight, panelled reveals and a doorcase with a panelled surround incorporating lion's head masks on the corners and a moulded entablature. There is a blind window above the door. Some original joinery and fittings remain inside the property.
