Description
The Square Meal Cafe is a house with a cafe on the ground floor, likely built in the late 18th century. The exterior is plastered, and the roof material is not visible from the street. The building has three storeys and features a two-window front. The shop front includes pilasters with sunk panels and roundel decoration, and the fascia is supported by moulded brackets that are paired over the right-hand door. To the right, there is a four-panel door with a boarded overlight, and next to it, a four-panel cafe door with an overlight. The shop window has four panes and a high transom, with panels below the sills of each light. Above the shop window, there is an attractive ornamented board made of a shaped board with standards and finials, featuring a central roundel with a finial, and it is lettered with '12 Bridge Street'. The interior has not been inspected.
