Description
Blackmoor Cottages are a pair of cottages likely dating from the 18th century. They are built with plastered cob walls on rubble footings, with brick stack tops and a thatched roof. The cottages originally comprised two rooms each over two storeys, and share a cob party wall. There are two axial stacks. Each cottage has a two-window front with 20th-century casement windows, a central door, and a walled porch with a thatched, hipped roof. Original symmetry appears to have been affected by a rebuild of the right-hand end and the insertion of an additional ground-floor window. The roof is half-hipped to the right and hipped to the left. The interior features exposed, chamfered beams.
