Description

A pair of cottages, likely dating from the 18th century. They were constructed with cob walls on rubble footings, with later 20th-century brick on the cob stacks and a thatched roof. The cottages are two-storey and have a symmetrical four-window front. Each cottage originally contained two rooms arranged around a cob party wall. They feature large, projecting stacks at each gable end. The front of each cottage has two windows and a central door, all beneath a slated monopitch hood. The windows are 20th-century metal casements set deep within reveals. Inside, the larger, heated rooms retain plain chamfered cross-beams. Fireplaces have been blocked and the interiors have been superficially modernised.
