Description
Ford Farmhouse is a mid 19th century farmhouse constructed of stucco on rubble, featuring rubble or brick stacks with exposed brick chimney shafts and a slate roof. The building has a two-room, double-depth plan with a central staircase and stacks located in the end walls. It is a two-storey, gable-ended structure that includes basement and attic rooms in the roof space. The symmetrical front has three windows, consisting of four-pane sash windows for the main rooms and unglazed two-light windows for the basement. Access to the central door is via a flight of stone steps with an iron railing. The door is a six-panel design with an overlight and a Tuscan doorcase. The wooden eaves cornice features shaped brackets. Each gable has small round-headed windows with glazing bars to illuminate the attics, while the rear of the building has casement windows. The interior has not been inspected.
