Description

Moor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed with stucco over rubble and brick, with a prominent exposed brick gable end. The roof is slate, and the house features rubble and brick stacks with exposed brick chimney shafts. The building is gable-ended, originally comprising two rooms with a double-depth layout and a central staircase. It has three stacks located in the gable ends, one on each front side and another to the rear left. The two-storey façade features a symmetrical arrangement of three 16-pane sash windows. A central entrance has a six-panel door with margin lights. A verandah runs across the front, now covered with corrugated plastic supported by plain iron posts with iron railings. The railings are comprised of seven bays with four square panels and slender, decorative wrought ironwork. Projecting eaves are supported by pairs of shaped brackets, and tall chimney shafts rise from the roof. The left gable end includes narrow 9- and 12-pane sashes, while the rear elevation has three 16-pane sash windows. The interior retains much of the original woodwork and plasterwork.
