6/123 Neopardy Farmhouse including adjacent garden railings to south

Farmhouse. Circa 1850-60. Brick on rubble footings with squared Beer stone dressings to front only, slate roof with brick chimneys, 3 on gable slopes and 1 large one axial to rear wing; 2 of the stacks have Beer stone caps and the wing stack has-been extended. L-shaped building. Gable-ended main block facing south has double-depth, 2-room, central staircase plan and rear service block at right angles behind right (east) end. 2 storeys with half-basements and attics. Symmetrical 3-window front with chamfered Beer stone quoins. Central 4-panel door with rectangular fanlight and simple Beer stone doorcase with plain hood supported on carved scroll brackets. The windows are 16-pane sashes with Beer stone architraves; quoined sides and segmental heads with key stones. Plain sash windows to basement. Right side chimney has round-headed attic windows with glazing bars each side. Casements with glazing bars to rear. Spear-headed iron railings extend southwards along sides of front garden only. A remarkably unaltered building of its period.
