Description

The Queen's Hotel, located at 1 Queen Street, dates from around 1840. This four-storey building features added attics and has three bays facing Queen Street. It has a rounded corner and a similar appearance to the buildings on Little Queen Street. Constructed of brick with stucco dressings, the first floor is rendered with grooving and has vermiculated quoins. The windows are sash with glazing bars, and the first-floor windows are round-headed. A heavy cornice crowns the structure. The Queen's Hotel, along with Nos 74 to 91 Queen Street, forms a cohesive group of buildings.
