Description
Nos 12 and 14 with the archway to the court at the rear of Queen Street Post Office is a three-storey building dating from around 1840. It features four window sashes with glazing bars, although some are blank. The stucco front includes three-light sash windows set in recesses with elliptical heads on the ground floor. In the center, an elliptical arch provides access to the court behind the Queen Street Post Office. The roof is not visible. There are contemporary cast iron gates, and the courtyard has a notable external stairway with a cast iron balustrade leading to a first-floor doorway that has a canopy supported by brackets. The windows at the back of the post office are curved in plan.
