Description
This is a house located at 7 Lyndhurst Road, built around the mid-19th century in the Italianate style. The exterior is finished in stucco and features a slate hipped roof with bracketed eaves. There are rendered side stacks topped with bracketed cornices and some yellow clay square pots.
The house has a double-depth square plan with the entrance on the left side. It is two storeys high and has a symmetrical two-bay front facing southeast. Each bay is slightly advanced and features pairs of round arch pilastered windows. The ground floor windows have shell tympana, while the first floor windows include keyblocks and sashes with glazing bars. The building also has moulded stringcourses and rusticated quoins. There are 20th-century extensions at the rear.
This house is part of a group of stuccoed Italianate villas along Lyndhurst Road.
