Description

These are two 17th-century cottages, likely originally built in the 17th century, located on School Street, Sidford. They are cob buildings with gable-end slate roofs, replacing what was formerly thatch. Number 1 has an external stone chimney with stepped offsets and a vertical break running down the stack. Both cottages feature 2- and 3-light 19th-century casement windows. They have plain cottage doors. Numbers 1 and 2 are part of a group that includes Numbers 3 to 12 (consec), the British Legion Hall, and Crossways Cottage.
