Description

This is a row of four thatched cottages located on Chapel Street, Sidbury. Dating to 1633, with alterations or rebuilding in the 18th or early 19th century, they are constructed of cob. Each cottage has two windows, except for number 71. They have uniform wooden eaves with small panes of glass; however, number 74 retains intact glazing bars in its sash windows. The cottages feature flush and moulded panelled doors. Two of the doorways originally had panelled reveals and remnants of fluted pilasters. The cottages form a group with numbers 68 to 70 (consec), Woodvale Cottage, and numbers 71 to 81 (consec).
