Description

This is an early 19th-century row of two cottages and a post office located east of the Fairmile Inn. The buildings are constructed of red brick with a scot-lop tile roof. The first cottage on the east side has a blank panel above the entrance. The second cottage has three casement windows with glazing bars. The post office front is set at an obtuse angle and features three first-floor casement windows with glazing bars. The ground-floor windows have flat arches. A large clock within a wooden case, commemorating the 1897 Jubilee, is situated at the corner of the second cottage. The Fairmile Inn and the row of cottages form a notable group.
