Description

Nos 6 and 7 Sid Lane, also known as Nos 1 and 2 Sid Bank, are a pair of small houses built around 1840 to 1850. They are positioned at right angles to Sid Lane and are two storeys high with a rough cast exterior and a plinth. Each house features a central projecting gabled bay with quoins. The gables have openwork barge-boards and finials, and the roofs are slate with bracketed eaves. Each house has three windows, which are recessed 2-light casements. No 6 has Venetian shutters on the ground floor and a fretted blind ease on the first floor central window, while No 7 has solid shutters on the first floor windows. The doors are recessed under triangular arches in the projecting central bays.
