Description

Fern Cottage and Ye Olde House are a pair of cottages built around 1810, located on the east side of Temple Street. They are two storeys high with a rough cast front and feature a steeply pitched hipped slate roof. Each cottage has two windows on the first floor and one on the ground floor, all of which are sash windows with intact glazing bars set in flush architrave frames. The windows of Ye Olde House (No 66) are adorned with small slate hoods supported by shaped brackets. The door of Fern Cottage (No 64) retains two flush panels and has a later porch with a hipped slate roof. Ye Olde House has a modern door and a similar later porch.
