Description
The Clarke Headstone, located approximately 3 meters south of the porch of the Church of St Michael, is a headstone dated 1758 in memory of Samuel Clarke. It is made of limestone and features an upright slab that stands about 1 meter high with a low segmented head. The front of the headstone is inscribed with Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, which records the death of Samuel Clarke in 1758.
