Description
The Clarke graveslab, located approximately 20 metres south of the west side of the south porch of the Church of All Saints, dates from around 1758. It is made of sandstone and features a moulded edge with arched decoration at the head, which includes stylised winged angels. The slab commemorates George Clarke of Higham, who died on January 30th, 1758, at the age of 61. Additionally, it marks the graves of Mark Clarke, who died on December 22nd, 1803, at the age of 57, George Clarke, who died on December 11th, 1813, at the age of 74, and another daughter, Martha, who died in 1827.
