Description

The Clarke monument, located in the churchyard at the Old Church of St James, was erected in 1725 to commemorate Joseph Clarke. It features a moulded limestone tomb chest with recessed baluster corners and a raised fielded panel on each face. The primary inscription is found on the moulded top slab. The monument is situated 14 metres south of the church tower.
