Description
Hunter's Moon is a cottage dating from the 16th to 17th century, located on Annett's Lane in Bagshot. It is timber framed with brick infill that has replaced the original wattle and daub, and features a brick rear wall and right gable. The cottage has a thatched roof and is single-storey with an attic, consisting of two main bays and a third weatherboarded bay on the right. The entrance is situated in the centre bay and features a boarded door. The timber windows were replaced in 1985. The roof has a half-hipped design on the left side. There is an external stack on the left gable and another external stack incorporated within the weatherboarded bay. Inside, there is a central framed wall with wattle and daub panels, and the floor is supported on a ledger rail that is pegged to the frame. The interior also features chamfered spine beams with a bar stopped chamfer in the centre bay, and the roof includes clasped purlins and windbraces to the centre truss. The house underwent extensive alterations and extensions in February 1985.
