Description
East Court Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th to 17th century and later in the 18th to 19th century. It is constructed of rendered and colourwashed brick, with some flint, and features a 20th-century tiled roof. The building consists of two sections, with the main block being of the later date. This main block is two storeys high with an attic, comprising three bays. It has a central six-panelled door that is half glazed and is sheltered by a tiled hipped open porch. The windows are three-light timber casements, and the eaves are dentilled. The roof has quarter hipped gable stacks on both the right and left sides.
The earlier block, which now forms the right rear wing, is two storeys and has two and a half bays, with a third bay likely rebuilt as part of the main block. There is a door at the rear leading into an outshut, along with timber casement windows and a stack in the half-bay. Additionally, there is a dairy with an oven located in the re-entrant angle of the building.
