Description
Standen Old Farmhouse and Cottage is a house dating from the early 18th century, with a later addition on the east side. It features a tiled roof that is hipped to the west and north, and half hipped to the south, with corbelled eaves and a parapet on the east wing. The building is constructed of red brick and has an offset cross plan, standing two storeys tall. The west elevation is irregular, with the cottage projecting forward on the right side. It has two casement windows and a glazing bar sash above a canted bay in the centre, while to the left there are three casements and a door located in the corner by the offset. The east wing includes a central glazing bar sash.
