Nos. 53 and 54 on High Street are houses dating from the 17th century and the late 18th to early 19th century. They feature a tiled roof with a central ridge chimney and a gabled dormer on the left side. The walls are rendered and lined out. The buildings are two storeys tall with an attic. On the upper floor, there is a three-light casement window to the left, a small two-light casement window in the center, and a two-light casement window to the right. The ground floor includes a two-light casement window to the left, two 20th-century doors, and a 19th-century glazing bar sash window to the right. Inside, there is some evidence of timber framing along with chamfered and stopped beams.
