Description

These are a pair of mid-19th century houses located on the west side of Hungerford High Street. They have a slate roof with two chimneys positioned symmetrically off-centre along the ridge, and a moulded eaves cornice. The exterior is a mix of brick and render, painted, with a band at the first floor level and a plinth. The houses are arranged symmetrically, flanking a carriage arch which is flanked by plain pilasters. They are two storeys in height, with three glazing bar sash windows visible. On the ground floor, there is one glazing bar sash window to each house, and a door to the far left and right. Each door has six bolection moulded panels, a semicircular fanlight with radiating glazing, and an open pediment hood. The hood above the door to the left is supported by cut brackets, while the hood above the door to the right is supported by fluted pilasters.
