Description
No. 34 High Street is a house, now used as both a house and an office, dating from the late 18th century. It features a tiled roof with three hipped dormers and is constructed of brick, which has a plinth and a dentil course at the eaves. The windows have rubbed brick flat arches above them, and the south gable is tile hung. The building is two storeys high with an attic. On the first floor, there are central glazing bar sashes flanked by tripartite sashes. The entrance includes a six-panel door with a semi-circular fanlight that has curvilinear glazing bars, accessed by three stone steps. The doorcase is adorned with engaged Tuscan columns that have fluted necks and square bases, topped by an open pediment. Additionally, there are Venetian windows with intersecting glazing bars to the central sashes on either side of the entrance.
