Description
Wilton House is a Grade II listed building located on Hungerford High Street. This house, which now serves as both a residence and an office, dates back to the 16th century but was refronted around 1700. It features a later 19th-century parapet. The building has a tiled roof with four gables facing the road, a brick dentil course at the verges, and ball finials. The facade is constructed with grey headers and red stretchers, and there are moulded bands at the upper floors. Behind the facade, the structure is timber-framed, with a possible former jetty. The house stands three storeys tall and has four glazing bar sash windows on the second floor, all with flush moulded frames, and five similar sash windows on the first floor. The central entrance door has six raised and fielded panels and is topped by a flat hood supported by cut brackets.
