Description
Queen Elizabeth Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th to 17th century. It is timber framed with brick infill and features a thatched roof. The cottage has a lobby entry from the rear and consists of three bays, with a half bay for the entry stair and a stack located between the first and second bays, all aligned parallel to the street. The square framing is three bays high and includes straight corner braces. Recent additions include canted bay windows with leaded glazing, a framed raised dormer at the rear right-hand end, and two raised blocked dormers. Inside, there is a clunch stack with a chamfered mantel beam and a brick oven, along with chamfered spine beams.
