Description
A pair of attached houses on Castle Street, Calne, dating from the early 19th century, with No.8 substantially rebuilt internally and at the rear. The houses are constructed of painted squared, coursed limestone rubble, with a pantile roof and brick stacks. They are two storeys and an attic, with a two-window front. They have a plinth, round-arched doorways with fanlights; the doorway to No.6 is centrally positioned within a round-arched recess. The windows are 6/6-pane sashes. No.6 has two gabled dormers with 20th-century casements. The interior was not inspected.
