Description
Mynte Farmhouse is a farmhouse with origins in the 17th century, with early 18th-century and later 19th-century alterations. It is constructed from rubble stone and features stone-tiled roofs. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has an 'L'-shaped plan. The earliest section is the north-east wing, which has a two-window range and end stacks.
On the north front, the ground floor features a left-hand two-light recessed ovolo-moulded mullion window, and to the right, there are three-light 18th-century bead-moulded windows on both floors, with ashlar panels beneath and a dripstone above the lower window. The rear has two similar three-light windows on each floor, one of which has been altered for an inserted door, with dripstones on the ground floor. Additionally, there is a two-light 17th-century recessed chamfered mullion window with a hoodmould in the east end wall.
There is a 19th-century addition at the west end, which includes a long range of two-storey outbuildings running south. The north front of this addition has a coped gable and mullion windows, including a two-light window in the attic, two two-light windows on the first floor, a door, and a three-light window on the ground floor. The large west wall features an external stack. The roof is hipped down at the south end to the range of two-storey outbuildings, the first of which has a west side-wall stack flanked by first-floor casements, while the second, slightly higher, has three-light casements with brick sills, one above and one below, featuring a cambered head and a door to the left.
