Description
Easton Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that was altered in the 19th century. It is built of rubble stone and features a low-pitched slate roof with coped gables and end-wall stacks on the main range, while other areas have stone tiles. The main range is two stories high and has a four-window east front with dripcourses over each floor. The stone mullion windows include a three-light ovolo-moulded window in the right bay and two-light recessed cyma-moulded windows elsewhere, with three on the first floor and two on the ground floor; the windows in the end bay are blank. There are two-light mullion windows on each floor of the north end, with an ovolo-moulded window above and a cyma-moulded window below. At the rear, there is a long two-story range with a half-hipped stone-tiled roof, featuring some ovolo-moulded mullion windows on each side and doors leading to a through passage behind the main range. To the south of the main range, a stone-tiled link with a cart entry on the east side connects to an outbuilding that is set at right angles; this outbuilding is also made of rubble stone and has a stone-tiled half-hipped roof. At the south-west angle, there is a moulded stone garden gateway with a basket arch and coping above. The farmhouse was formerly known as Lower Farmhouse.
