Description
The R. Parker monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 16 meters south of the southeast angle of the tower of the Church of St. James. This mid-18th century tomb is made of ashlar stone and features two rectangular plaques on each side, which are flanked by fielded piers. It has a moulded base and a cornice that breaks forward at the piers. The inscriptions on the tomb commemorate R. Parker, who died in 1778, and E. Parker, who died in 1747.
