Description

The Parker Tomb is a chest tomb dedicated to John Parker, who died in 1749. It is located 8 yards east of the northwest chancel corner of the Church of St. George in Esher. The tomb is made of stone and sits on a stone plinth, standing approximately 4½ feet high. It has a rectangular shape with a central projecting square panel. The lid is stepped and flat, with a pyramidal section above the square base, topped by an oak button finial.
