Description

No. 83 High Street is a house with a shop front below, dating from the early 18th century, with 19th-century alterations. It features whitewashed brick on a rendered plinth and has dentilled eaves beneath a plain tiled roof that is half-hipped to the left. There is a ridge stack on the right side. The building has two storeys and an attic, with three flat-roofed dormers and a brick band above the ground floor. The first floor has four glazing bar sash windows, while the ground floor has 20th-century projecting square bay windows. A half-glazed door is positioned to the right of centre, and there is a flat-roofed carriage entrance at the left end.
