Description

The gates and gateposts to the driveway of Avebury Manor date from the mid to late 18th century. They feature limestone piers that stand approximately 4 meters high, which are plain but include necking and a cornice, topped with two steps and ball finials. The inner side has a stop. The wrought iron gates have intermediate rails at both the top and bottom, along with a central scrolled panel and a crested overthrow.
