Description

The wall and gates located 30 meters south of Avebury Manor date back to the 17th century. The gate piers are made of ashlar limestone, while the wall is constructed from sarsen stone, topped with clay and stone tiled coping and clay ridge tiles. The piers feature a cornice and finials shaped like pine cones set in acanthus cups. The gates are made of cast iron and include dog rails.
