Description

Churchyard Cottages are two cottages, originally built as one block and now combined into a single dwelling. Dating to the 17th and 19th centuries, the cottages are constructed of whitewashed sarsen stone to the front, with some brick and roughcast. The roof is thatched. The building is two storeys high and comprises four bays. The original structure consisted of two bays, later extended to the right in sarsen stone around the early 18th century, and to the left in brick in 1865. The front features two boarded doors, each with a bracketed hood. The windows are timber casements. A stack is located before the right extension and at the left gable. The thatch is half-hipped and slopes down at the rear over an outshut. A brick rear extension is present on the left cottage.
