Description

This lychgate, built in 1899, features heavy timber framing set on limestone base walls and is topped with a tiled roof. The framing includes end and central trusses, all arch braced with carved bosses, and there is tracery in the end panels. The supporting walls have coved top coping and internal seats, and a cobbled path leads to it. This lychgate was erected in memory of Hannah Price and is a notable example of its type in an important setting.
