Description

Milepost near the junction with the A303 is a cast-iron milepost designed in a classical style. It features a low pedimented cap and has raised lettering on the front that reads: SALISBURY/II/WARMINSTER/10. This milepost is part of a series of cast-iron boundary and mileposts located on turnpikes radiating from Warminster, which were manufactured by Carson and Miller, a local ironfounders in Warminster.
