Description

The gatepiers located to the northwest of Bathampton House date from the 18th century and are constructed from limestone ashlar. They consist of a pair of square piers that are rusticated and feature chamfered edges, along with a moulded cornice leading to pyramidal caps. These gatepiers were relocated to their current position following road improvements to the A36 during the 1970s.
