Description
The stable, located to the east of Bathampton House, dates from the late 17th century. It is constructed of chequered flint and limestone, with the east side rendered, and features a half-hipped tiled roof. The building is a single storey with a loft. A prominent round-arched doorway is positioned to the left of the center, complete with imposts and a keystone, and is topped by a scrolled hoodmould. To the left of this doorway are a pair of 20th-century double garage doors, and to the right, there is a louvred 2-light window, a brick semi-elliptical headed carriage entry, and a 2-light casement window. The right side of the building includes a gabled loft door with a planked door. The left return features a single casement window. Inside, the stable has chamfered beams and planked partitions.
