Description
Matthews Monument is a chest tomb located about 5 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St Leonard. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of limestone. Each side of the tomb features two octagonal fielded panels and fielded pilasters that support a moulded cornice and a flat top. There is a partly illegible inscription commemorating a member of the Matthews family who died in 1775.
