Description
Westbarrow Cottage is an 18th-century detached cottage with a mid-19th century two-storey rear addition. The cottage is constructed of cob, with a hipped thatched roof. The rear addition has a Welsh slate roof, and there are brick stacks. The front of the cottage has two storeys and two windows. A central four-panelled door is set within a thatched latticed porch. Flanking the door are three-light casement windows, and the first floor has two three-light casements. The returns are windowless. The rear of the cottage includes a single casement window on the ground floor; attached to the left is the 19th-century addition, which has three-light and two-light wooden casement windows. The interior features a central through-passage. Attached to the front are cast-iron railings with a matching gate, featuring alternating spear-head and hooped designs.
