Description
Hoopers Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse constructed with bands or chequers of chalk and flint, featuring limestone quoins and flint footings. It has a thatched roof with brick stacks and an integral outshut at the rear. The building is single-storey with an attic and has three windows. On the left side, there is an early 19th-century six-panelled door with a flat wooden hood. To the right, there are three two-light casements and a four-panelled door. The attic features three eyebrow dormers, each with two-light casements, and the roof has coped verges. The left side of the building is windowless, while the right side has a 20th-century half-glazed door and one two-light casement on the first floor. The integral outshut at the rear includes one three-light and one two-light casement, with a central eyebrow dormer in the attic that has a single casement. Inside, there is a deeply chamfered beam with shaped stops and some reset 17th-century oak wainscot panelling, which includes inlaid stars.
