Description
Church House is a detached house built around 1830. The front is constructed of Flemish bond brick, while the sides are made of English bond brick and the rear features cob. It has a Welsh slate half-hipped roof and brick stacks. The house has a symmetrical two-storey front with a central 20th-century door set within a stone Tuscan porch. On either side of the door are 16-pane sash windows. The first floor features central French windows with margin panes and colored glass, flanked by 16-pane sash windows, all of which have cambered heads.
The left side of the house has a 6-pane sash window on the first floor. The right side includes French windows, a half-glazed door, and a 20th-century four-light casement window on the ground floor, along with a 20th-century casement window on the first floor. At the rear, there is a two-light casement window with a segmental head on the ground floor and another two-light casement window on the first floor. Inside, the house has internal shutters on the windows and a fireplace with a reeded surround in the room to the left of the entrance. The house was undergoing renovation at the time of the survey in November 1984.
