Description

Primrose Cottage is an 18th-century cottage with a 20th-century addition, located in Rockbourne. The building features a rendered cob and brick construction with a thatched roof. It is one and a half storeys high and consists of two bays in the original part, which has an L-shaped wing added to the end. The front of the cottage includes a plank door with an inserted light beneath the thatch, along with a timber porch. On either side of the door, there are two-light casements, and above them is an eyebrow dormer that contains another two-light casement with sidelights. The right-hand side features the 20th-century addition, which includes a bay with a four-light casement and a wide eyebrow dormer, next to a projecting half-hipped wing. There is a stack located at the left-hand end of the building.
