Description
The walls to the east garden of Urchfont Manor are a Grade II listed garden wall dating from the 18th century. Constructed of brick in English garden wall bond, the walls feature stone copings and form the northern and part of the eastern side of the east front garden. They stand approximately 2.3 meters high, with the outer face battered back above 2 meters, leaving piers that support weathered and throated coping. The total length of the wall is about 72 meters, which includes a continuation at a lower level on the northern side of the manor, returning approximately 11 meters, and a further 21 meters that were rebuilt on the eastern side. The wall was breached in the mid-20th century before continuing for an additional 19 meters.
