Description

The barn at the rear of West End Farm is a Grade II listed building from the mid-18th century, incorporating parts of an earlier cob structure. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a thatched roof. The barn has three bays, with the framing raised on stone sills that bear the date 1751. It features a queen strut and windbraced roof. Additionally, there is a two-bay cob structure, which was likely an outbuilding of a now-demolished cottage to the east, of which only the fireplace remains. This barn is noted as the last surviving example of cob work in the village.
